The Association's annual pilgrimage to Czestochowa

Jacek Jarnuszkiewicz Sunday, 16 May 2010

The Association's annual pilgrimage to Czestochowa took place on May 15, 2010. The address was delivered by the chief chaplain of the Association, Bp. Andrzej Dziuba, Chaplain of Conventual Grand Cross ad Honorem, in which he touched upon the necessity of putting into practice the principle of "Tuitio Fidei et Obsequium Pauperum" in the daily activities of members of the Order. It is especially important to implement the defense of the faith - "Tuitio Fidei" - through frequent participation in religious observances. Pointing out the exceptional position of the Order within the structures of the Catholic Church, Bp. Dziuba emphasized the significance of participating in important religious observances such as the procession of St. Stanislaus in Kraków, Corpus Christi processions in various cities, and he appealed for broader participation by Knights and Dames in the annual observances of the feast of St. John. After the address, the participants took part in the liturgy of the Way of the Cross, then attended a Holy Mass celebrated in the intention of the Order before the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa.
