On Saturday, July 31 2010, a grilling picnic was organized by the Maltese Center for Social Assistance to the Handicapped in Katowice, near the sports airfield at Muchowiec. This open-air gathering served to further unite all of the persons serving in various works of the Order in Silesia. About 35 persons participated, including Knights and Dames of Malta, volunteers, handicapped persons from the Caritas center in Borowa Wieś, and staff of the Foundation of Polish Knights of Malta.

The artistic program was prepared by the Musical Diaconate of the Silesian Confraternity of the Polish Association. At 9:00 PM they led the assembly in the singing of the Anthem of Jasnagóra (prayer to the Virgin mary under Her appellation of Queen of Poland).

A day later, on Sunday August 1, some of the volunteers and handicapped attended Mass at 12:00 in the Cathedral of Christ the King in Katowice.
